10-6, 7 & 8 Kennedy Space Center Cruise

On Monday, October 6, the group headed to Kennedy Space Center for a three-day cruise. We stopped in Lakeland for lunch at Miller's Ale House and then back on the road, heading to Christmas, Florida. Unfortunately, the weather had decided to pour, so we skipped that adventure and headed to the Holiday Inn in Titusville. Dinner was at El Leoncito Mexican restaurant next to the Indian River. The food was great, and we all got to see the "Super Moon" rise over the river - it was beautiful. Tuesday, we headed to Kennedy Space Center, and at 11:00, we went on a guided bus tour of the facilities outside the Visitor's Center. WOW!

Tuesday night, we had dinner at Dixie Crossroads. The food and the conversations were wonderful. Wednesday morning, it was back to Kennedy Space Center for a 45-minute Chat with an Astronaut. But, we had an unexpected delay on the entrance road. Blue Origin was moving the booster for the Mars rocket! So, we had to reschedule the astronaut chat to the afternoon. We learned lots of interesting information from Astronaut Bob Cenker and the great questions from the group. The group spent the rest of the day enjoying the Visitor's Center and then headed home.
Everyone had a great trip and also made some new friends too!
A special "Thank You" to Mark, John & Irene, Frances & John, Ron & Karen, Angela, and Joan for making this cruise FANTASTIC!
